Founder/Director – Harriet King
Harriet is a freelance digital journalist, who created The Conflict Comment as a platform for young students and graduates to share their views on international conflict and build upon their journalistic writing abilities. Graduating from Kingston University – in BA Journalism with Spanish – she was formally the editor of the award-winning River Newspaper. Harriet has published reports on the refugee crisis in Calais and chemical warfare in Syria, and is also the Women’s Editor of the International Press Foundation.
Editor in Chief- Rian Whitton
Rian holds both a Masters degree in science and security from King’s College London and a bachelor’s degree in history and politics from the University of Sheffield. He is a digital writer, focusing on issues relating to technological innovation, security and international relations.
Social Media Officer – Kahlil Stultz
Kahlil is an MA International Relations postgraduate scholar at King’s College London, having just finished writing his dissertation on Chinese Security on the Taiwan Straits. He is an American and regards himself both a historian and an International Policy Analyst. Kahlil received his BA in Modern History from a New York public research University in Spring 2015, and has worked for the U.S State Department as an Intern in their consular and political sections. His core interests are varied, but often center on American, British and Commonwealth national security and foreign policies, as well as East Asian politics and War Studies.
